Qualifications:

• Experience in commercial building 
• Experience with creating estimates and proposals
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Experience with project management
• Detail oriented

Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree in construction management, construction engineering, civil engineer, architecture, or related field.
• 5-10 years of estimating experience required where you have been the lead estimator for at least half that time.
• Passion for preconstruction and estimating.
• Applicant must be familiar with conceptual, hard bid and self-perform estimating.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Must be detail oriented and technically sound with good communication skills.
• Strong work ethic is a must.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Ability to utilize computers, and experienced with Microsoft Office, On Screen takeoff, ProEst, Sage 100,drafting software, BlueBeam, or other estimating software programs.
• Applicant should be interested in professional development and continued education.

Responsibilities:

• Estimate labor, equipment and material costs for commercial building renovation and remodels and create proposals
• Review drawings and specifications to determine quantities and calculate pricing
• Plan and implement projects
• Develop and maintain positive communication with vendors, suppliers and subcontractors
• Ensure deadlines and cost are met
• Obtain permits and maintain required project documentation
• Prepare project documents and schedules
