The Classic Granite & Marble project was completed in Powhatan, Virginia as a design-build office and manufacturing facility. The project included 82,000 sq. ft. of office and manufacturing space, along with a 17,000 sq. ft. mezzanine.
The building was designed with production and manufacturing operations in mind. The facility included 11 cranes, with crane capacity listed as 4-ton and 5-ton. These systems supported the building’s manufacturing use and helped define the industrial function of the space.
The exterior building system included 2.5-inch insulated panels, four different colors, and two wall panel systems: Tuff-wall system and Mesa panels. The roof was built with a 24-inch wide Double-Lok system and Artisan soffit panels.
The project received the Manufacturing and Warehouse Award of Excellence from MBCEA, making it a strong example of Super Structures’ design-build and manufacturing facility work.
